Creative EDC and strategic partner Economic Leadership updated the Fayetteville Cumberland County EDC action plan. The EDC will focus on diversifying the economy, developing product, enhancing education and training programs, leadership development, and strengthening organizational capacity. Cumberland County, population 330,000, is home to Ft. Bragg, the largest U.S. Army Base, Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville Tech Community College, Fayetteville Regional Airport and other assets supporting economic development. The action plan leverages the county’s assets to strengthen long-time industry sectors and recommends investing in developing and emerging clusters.
