ElectriCities launched its first strategic plan for economic development. The plan expands programs and services and creates new opportunities in public power communities across North Carolina. The strategic plan has four goals that raise the marketing program to a new level, leverage investments in site development, and expand technical assistance. It adds new services to support downtown development and revitalization. The plan also has strategies to ensure members are always on the leading edge of economic development. ElectriCities Economic Development Department is the go-to economic development source for expertise, project support, and solutions. The programs and services the Department administers build community capacity and enhance competitiveness which lead to stronger and more diverse local economies. The strategic plan builds upon the strengths of the Department to create even more opportunities for investment in public power communities.
