Cleveland County Economic Development Partnership (CCEDP) is well-known for its genius talent-recruitment campaign Charlotte’s Backyard. The award-winning marketing campaign put Cleveland County on the map –for people and business. CCEPD engaged Creative EDC to update their strategic plan, building upon their success. The process included a SWOT Analysis, benchmarking, economic trends research, stakeholder engagement, best practices, and strategy development. The strategic plan has six goals related to business attraction, talent , BRE, product development, community initiatives, and building organizational capacity. CCEDP kicked off implementation by inviting partners and allies to a planning conference to launch the strategic plan align the strategies of all organizations involved in economic development in Cleveland County. CCEDP is focused on implementation in its core areas of work: landing new companies, expanding existing businesses, and developing a talent pipeline for the long term.
